Keith Koeneman

Keith is an expert in highly negotiated transactions whose professional experience spans mergers & acquisitions, investment banking, private equity, and corporate law. He has deep experience working with C-suite executives, business owners and board members to work through key transactions issues, structures, and outcomes. He is known for his sophisticated advice, refined people skills, enthusiastic engagement, and hands-on work.

Have personally negotiated, advised on, or invested in more than thirty transactions ranging from $10 million – $2.3 billion, including sell-side transactions, buy-side M&A, private equity, IPOs, recapitalizations, and strategic alliances. Keith has considerable experience with public companies, private equity firms and private, middle-market businesses. Have worked for clients in various industries, including technology, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, education, and consumer products.

Keith has held senior positions at Kingsman Capital, Merrill Lynch, Divine Interventures, and Banc of America Securities, all focusing on sourcing, negotiating and closing investments, as well as providing strategic advice on internal growth strategies and acquisition initiatives. Additionally, he has served on the Board for many private equity-backed companies. Previously, Keith practiced transactional law at Katten Muchin and is the author of First Son: The Biography of Richard M. Daley.

Keith received his BA from Carleton College, MBA from the University of Chicago, MPA at Harvard Kennedy School, and his JD at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law.
